From powerful hurricanes and booming lightning to colorful rainbows\, kids will explore the science behind some of Earth’s most fascinating natural phenomena. Join us for hands-on activities and exciting demonstrations as we learn how weather shapes our world!   \n Special Programs (Every Day at 1:30 p.m.) \nJoin us for fun themed activities during the week all month long.   \nJune 1 – 9: Severe Weather Science: Let’s explore the science behind lightning and thunder! Kids will get hands-on with a Van de Graaff machine to see how static electricity works and discover what causes nature’s loudest booms.  \nJune 10 – 16: Hurricane Science: Dive into the swirling world of hurricanes as we create our very own storm in a bowl! Kids will learn how these powerful storms form and what makes them spin\, all through a fun hands-on experiment.   \nJune 17 – 23: Wild Winds: In this tornado engineering challenge\, kids will design and build structures with boxes – then put them to the test to see if they can stand strong against the winds. Can your building pass the test?  \nJune 24 – 30: Sun Science: Discovery the sunny side of science as we explore how rainbows are made! Kids will learn about light and color\, create their own rainbow\, and make a beautiful suncatcher craft to take home and brighten any window!  \nSpecial Events and Activities \nJune 15: Father’s Day (self-guided activity)  \nMake your way to the Art Studio to craft a special Father’s Day card! Celebrate the amazing dads and caregivers in your life with a handmade card filled with love and creativity.   \nJune 11: World Day of Play!   \nOn World Day of Play\, kids’ ideas come to life through play! Join us in our Age Up Tables to use your imagination to transform urban spaces into a more playful world with different Lego Challenges! World Day of Play raises awareness about how play is central to every child’s development and well-being. Check out more info here!     \nJune 17: Monthly Member Hour  \nDuring Member Hour: 9:30 am – 10:30 am  \nJoin us for our whimsical weather member hour as we read Little Cloud by Eric Carle. After the reading\, children will craft their very own “cloud finders”- special tools to help them spot clouds in the sky!  \nAll Month Long \nPuppet Show (Wednesday and Saturdays at 3:30pm)  \nJune Show: Pangea’s Got Talent: Pangea’s Got Talent is a prehistoric talent show where dinosaurs from all corners of the ancient world showcase their unique skills and abilities! Watch as our favorite dinos display their mind-blowing tricks in this fun-filled\, dino-packed extravaganza. Who will win the title of Pangea’s ultimate talent? Tune in to find out!   \nScience Show (Every Day 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.)    \nJoin us at the Science Lab all month for science experiments.  \nStory Time (Sundays at 1:30 p.m.)   \n Join us for story time as we read some of our favorites:  \nWhen the Wind Stops by Charlotte Zolotow  \nA Rainbow of My Own by Don Freeman  \nDrop: An Adventure Through the Water Cycle by Emily Kate Moon  \nSpinning Wind and Water: Hurricanes by Belinda Jensen  \nBig Fun (Every Day 11:45 a.m. & 4:15 p.m.)    \nBig Fun is where YOU are the star of the show! Children and adults are invited to move and groove to three of our favorite songs. Put your dancing shoes on and join us for this daily dance party!
