From science shows to story time\, every visit is filled with hands-on fun for kids of all ages. \nAll museum events and activities are free with admission. \nJune Theme: Build It!\nThis month\, guests are invited to dream big\, build boldly\, and work together as we explore the world of engineering\, creativity\, and community building through Build It! Throughout the museum\, children will use their imaginations to design structures\, solve building challenges\, and collaborate on a growing community masterpiece. From cardboard construction to magnetic creations\, this month encourages hands-on exploration\, teamwork\, and creative problem-solving.  \nBoxopolis: A Creative Cardboard City | Every Day at 1:30 p.m.\nEach day\, guests will help design and build a collaborative cardboard city that will continue growing all month long. Children can create buildings\, roads\, parks\, vehicles\, landmarks\, and other community features while learning about teamwork\, engineering\, and city design. As the month progresses\, families will be able to revisit the city to see how the community has expanded and changed over time.  \nDaily Special Programs\nAge Up Tables\nMagnatiles\, Lincoln Logs\, Legos\, Oh My! Can you build the tallest tower\, the strongest bridge\, or design the coolest structure? Check the age up tables for rotating materials and building prompts to test your architectural skills!  \nWater Table\nUse floating blocks at the water table to design and create your own floating city structures! As you build\, test\, and redesign your creations\, explore concepts like balance\, buoyancy\, and engineering through hands-on water play!  \nSandhills Stage\nCan you build something HUGE? Use giant Magna-Tiles to create towers\, castles\, tunnels\, and anything else you can imagine on the stage. Work together\, test your ideas\, and see how big you can build!  \nArt Studio\nOur Art Studio is transforming into a blueprint design studio for the month! Grab your pencils\, rulers\, and markers and become an architect for the day! Use aluminum foil to build your best boat\, test it in the water\, and see how much weight it can hold before it sinks! Experiment\, improve your design\, and discover what makes a boat float. Get ready to think like an engineer! \nAll Month Long\nArt Table: Fish-in-a-Bag Aquarium Art Adventure\nDive into creativity and create your very own mini ocean! Young artists will design colorful fish\, add underwater details\, and build a one-of-a-kind aquarium inside a bag. Will your ocean have rainbow fish\, silly sea creatures\, sparkling bubbles\, or hidden treasures? Use your imagination to bring your underwater world to life and take home a tiny aquarium full of big creativity! \nFish Stamping Ocean Creations\nMake a splash with art! DESCRIPTION:Sensory-friendly hours are monthly and happen on the first Sunday of every month from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.\nWe’re inviting all families with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)\, Sensory Processing Disorders and vision or hearing impairments and their caregivers to come and interact with the experiences we offer at our Rockingham location. \nThe event is for children with sensory sensitivities and special needs to enjoy private time in the Museum’s hands-on exhibit spaces and to explore in a calmer\, quieter environment. Come and experience everything that Discovery Place Kids–Rockingham has to offer. \nThis experience is included in Museum Admission.  \nGET MUSEUM ADMISSION
