Unleash Creativity and Curiosity

Rockingham STEM Field Trips

Embark on a thrilling adventure with Discovery Place Kids field trips and classes for children from Pre-K through Grade 2. We’ve crafted our Early Childhood Classes with your little explorers in mind. Through inquiry-based learning, we spark their curiosity and build foundational STEM literacy skills. We dive into topics like the magic of sound, the wonders of weather and the forces that shape our world.

Field Trip Curriculum

Our field trip curriculum is aligned with both North and South Carolina state standards and Next Generation Science Standards. This means we’re not just providing great field trips for young kids—we’re ensuring your students are getting a top-notch education.

Active Learning

Our Rockingham Children’s Museum team believes in the power of ‘learning by doing.’ We encourage your students to explore their world, test new ideas and develop both fine and large motor skills. This hands-on approach to field trip curriculum not only deepens their understanding of the world but also boosts their self-confidence.
