November’s Theme: Farm Fresh

Join us at Discovery Place Kids for a barnyard bonanza!

This month, we’re exploring farm animals—sheep, cows and roosters. Discover what they eat and how they help us, plus enjoy fun facts that will make you smile!

Weekly Activities
November 4–10: Churn Baby Churn
Come and have fun learning all about cows and dairy products while making butter! We’ll start with Karma Wilson’s hilarious tale of farm antics, “The Cow Eats Cookies. ”

November 11–17: Life of an Egg
Discover the magic of life as we learn about the fascinating life cycle of an egg. Beforehand, we’ll read about the egg-tastic life cycle craft in “How Does an Egg Hatch?” by Eric Carle.

November 18-24: Animal Babies
Get ready to meet the cutest crew at Sandhills Stage, starting with a dive into farm life with “Down on the Barn” by Will Hillenbrand. Afterward, join a farm-tastic adventure matching baby animals to their mothers.

November 26-30 Turkey’s in Disguise
Join us for a fun reading of “Turkey Troubles” during the week of Thanksgiving. We must help disguise turkeys so they don’t end up as dinner!
